ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Nephrology Department provides integrated health care with the highest medical standards for patients with acute and chronic renal failure, Nephrology disease and glomerulonephritis resulting from immune and non-immune diseases such as diabetes and Hypertension.
The department deals with kidney transplant cases under the supervision of a group of consultants and specialists .

One of the tasks of the Kidney Diseases Treatment Center :

  • High Efficiency Hemodialysis .
  • Continuous slow hemodialysis.
  • Plasma pharesis Sessions.
  • General Intensive Care and Cardiac care unit Hemodialysis services for Acute Kidney Failure .
  • Unit equipped for the insertion of all types of central venous catheters .
  • Outpatient clinics to receive military and civilian patients for the treatment and follow-up of patients with nephrology diseases and transplantation.
  • The department receives annually an expert of nephrology diseases and transplantation from outside Egypt for management & assessment of the patients in the department & clinic.
